Physical training required

Our tours are open to everyone and don't require special fitness training, you just need to be in good health and prepared to live in desert conditions for a few days.

Respect

Your respect is imperative in the desert. The environment and its inhabitants deserve our care and attention. We count on each individual to leave the trails as they have found them. You will be able to meet our craftsmen friends (carpets, leather work and weaving) and have the opportunity to become acquainted with these men and women who will be happy to share their wisdom, creative arts and culture with you.

Saying thank you and tipping

It is normal practice to show your thanks to the camel drivers at the end of your trip, by leaving a tip of about 40 euros, per trekker per week; if you can bring sports clothes as presents you will make them very happy!

Our trekking tours: special features

Boubaker Harabi was born in the desert and has been accompanying tours for 20 years. Dominique Harabi-Poncin has been a Gestalt therapist for 15 years. Together they make up a team whose skill is to subtly blend together your needs and requirements with the promises of the desert, to offer to you a truly unforgettable trip.

All the tours offered are authentic and can be adapted to your requirements

As well as the obligatory safety precautions and insurance, your security is guaranteed by a GPS or satellite telephone

You have the choice of:

  • Camel Trekking option : you walk, the camels carry the luggage, and one or two dromedaries are available for people to take turns to ride on when tired
  • Or the "Mehari" as well as the baggage camels, each trekker has a dromedary to ride whenever he chooses.
